My soul magnifies the Lord, 47and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior!  48For He has looked with favor on the lowly state of His servant.

Let us pray:​

Almighty God, you chose to reveal yourself not among the rich and the powerful, but among the poor and the people devoid of status.  Grant us grace to receive your word with humility. Amen.
